As with an new idea…sometimes you get a few glitches.

Today we moved our site from the test server to the real server and in the process lost the last day or so on the database… ouch!

I want to thank those of you who joined the site or submitted videos from January 9th onward, and ask that you please wash, rinse, and repeat the process again… re-join or re-submit your videos

It’s looking pretty good for the new site, so let’s keep it rolling!!

Ok, guys… here we go. Strap in and get ready for a ride.

As stated on Trikepilot.com, my goal with this new version of “Pro” is to created a highly curated library of Video content, as well as to provide an incentive for TrikePilot Social members to strive for excellence in Video Production and creativity.

As such, we have a limited, but more powerful toolset here than on TPSocial:

1. Video Gallery with 10 Star Rating, analytics, thumbs-up/down commenting, Category/Tag Taxonomy;
2. Activity Stream that has unlimited indexing, editing, image/video/document upload;
3. Membership/Messaging/Friendship/Social Sharing;
4. Powerful Forum on the areas of Video Editing & Tools, Flying Techniques & Equipment, and Catch-All;
5. A Requirement that any contributor be nominated or approved to submit, and that any commenting is from pre-screened members (to avoid spam issues).

Ultimately I see this as a test-bed for where TPSocial will go in the future. I’ve voiced my displeasure for a long time about how dated our code is on that site, and the fact that it is locked into a closed platform. With TrikePilot Pro I believe we can finally obtain a good test of those features which would allow everyone to finally achieve “Nirvana”, and to remove anything that is a distraction.

In that light, I look forward to seeing your VIDEOS on this site, as well as your comments and suggestions in the activity stream or forum.
